Torino 2011
On the occasion of “Torino 2011, Biography of a city”, Nord Zinc participated in the creation of the TO11 logo, the main graphic element of the event, to raise public awareness on “sustainable building”. The event is a complex exhibition, located in an area of outstanding beauty: the OGR – Officine Grandi Riparazioni, the core of one of the areas of the city most affected by changes in recent years. The metal structure of the logo, designed by the Studio of Architect Alessandro Colombo, underwent the innovative surface treatments prepared by Nord Zinc. To communicate the solemnity of an impressive historical heritage of our country, the Studio thought it was necessary to develop a concise and compact logo, which proposes a philosophy of sustainable construction, protected against corrosion and weather elements thanks to SISTEMA TRIPLEX®. The logo is reminiscent of the ratio between the city car initials TO, the telephone area code 011, and also a first tribute to the year 2011, in which we celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Unification of Italy. Inside the exhibition, a monolithic element relates the creation of the logo and its environmentally sustainable peculiarities, a sign of the desire of the organisers to contain and enhance the environmental impacts of the event.
