The light rail shelters. Milan – Cinisello Balsamo.
The Milano – Cinisello Balsamo light rail is an infrastructure project linking the historic centre of the city of Cinisello Balsamo and the regional capital Milan, to be interpreted with a broader perspective of redesigning interventions on the general urban furniture along the entire line, and activation of policies to reduce traffic from a more comprehensive urban requalification point of view. The route of the Milano-Cinisello Balsamo light rail remains on the surface: the terminus in Milan is located in Piazzale Lagosta. The line runs along the Zara-Fulvio Testi axis, then continues in the territory of Sesto San Giovanni and finishes in Cinisello Balsamo. There are a total of 27 stops along the line, all with shelters, equipment for public information on waiting times, ticket issuing, intercoms for the public as “help-points”, lighting installations and transport systems for the disabled. The shelters are protected and finished with Sistema Triplex, to guarantee high durability (over 15 years) in a C3H category urban context (according to UNI EN ISO 12944-2).
