The Sant’Omobono Terme bridge
The Sant’Omobono Terme bridge and the protection of steel
This interesting architectonic work is part of the valorisation project of the river Imagna and the promotion of a sustainable mobility model, alternative to private transport by road. The Sant’Omobono Terme (BG) bridge joins the two branches of the pedestrian and cycle road linking the five neighbourhoods of Sant’Omobono Terme and is located in an area classified with a C3 corrosion (urban environment with low pollution) in accordance with
UNI EN ISO 12944. It is made of steel, to optimise durability, and treated with SISTEMA TRIPLEX. Thanks to this protective/aesthetic cycle, the bridge will be usable without extraordinary maintenance for over 80 years. The coating will be the only element that will require regular maintenance at intervals of about 15 years.
